Membership Benefits and Privileges

Most Members join a Chamber of Commerce for 1 reason: Business Exposure. And that is why the NCoC is committed to giving our Members as much business exposure as possible. Why? Because if the local businesses do well, then the township does well. That's why our slogan is "Let's Do Business Together." The following list shows our commitment.

1) The opportunity to get involved in a unified organization and voice to deal with issues concerning our business community. We are an organization dedicated to supporting the merchants and businesses in our community which in turn improves our town on the whole.

2) Through monthly luncheons, special events, email and other programs, members can communicate, network and exchange ideas and services. Members-in-good-standing who bring guests who later join the Chamber, receive a certificate for a FREE LUNCHEON in the future.

3) Your company has a place on the internet at the updated and improved www.nutleychamber.com. Type in your company's name and the word "Nutley" into any search engine (Google, Yahoo, etc.) Your listing page appears within the first 2-3 entries. This free service makes your business more accessible to the public. Additionally, you can link your site to the Chamber's for more exposure. Visit the website regularly for calendar updates and announcements.

4) The N.C.oC. Members Only Discount Exchange. Members-in-good-standing receive one stamped and dated membership card. This card can be used (by Chamber members only) to receive discounts on goods and services offered by other Chamber Members.

5) The N.C.oC. plaque and window sticker. Both items designate your business as a member-in-good-standing of this well respected organization.

6) Look for our weekly announcement box in both the Nutley Sun and Nutley Journal where we welcome new member and announce upcoming events.

7) The N.C.oC. Business Card Exchange - Please provide us with 50 copies of your business card to be included in the portfolios. Portfolios are available to members-in-good-standing upon request.

8) The N.C.oC. Office Reference Library - Please provide us with 1 copy of your menus, rate cards, brochures, facility rental rates, fliers, etc. The Library serves as an excellent resource for the Office Manager to utilize when answering incoming calls. Note: Add the Chamber to your customer/client mailing lists.

9) Regular email news, reminders, important business information and event notices.

10) The opportunity to be recognized as a responsible and dedicated sponsor of on-going Chamber events and programs: The Annual N.C.oC. 5K and Fun Run * Santa's Arrival * Franklin Ave. and Centre St. Planters

11) The Nutley Chamber of Commerce serves as a N.J. business media hub - The Chamber has now aligned itself with many other regional Chambers, New Jersey and local business media and government facilities. This means more business news that may affect you.

12) As a Chamber Member you can take advantage of many Members Only discount programs the Chamber has established with outside organizations such as TDF, The Theater Development Fund. TDF offers deep discounts on Broadway, off-Broadway and off-off Broadway productions. Others include: Great Adventure, Inc. Magazine, Hertz Rental Car, Papermill Playhouse.

14) Email forwarding. If your business is involved with community support efforts or provides a service beneficial to another Chamber member or is celebrating a business anniversary or expanding, we will forward email to the general membership on your behalf.

15) Ribbon Cuttings for new Members posted on www.nutleychamber.com front page, in the Nutley Sun, Nutley Journal and on www.njhometown.com.

16) Free use of our collection of anniversary banners.

17) Welcome to Nutley new resident bags - The Chamber is the townships "welcome wagon." Your brochures, menues, fliers, coupons, etc can be included.
