The Bowes Real Estate tradition was first started in 1915 by Frank Bowes, father of George T. Bowes, in East Orange, New Jersey. George Bowes came to Nutley in 1933 where he began his practice of selling residential real estate. He has since retired and the business is now being carried on by his son William Bowes, operating as George T. Bowes Realtors.
