The Nutley Chamber of Commerce sponsors two major events each year.
5K Fun Run through Nutley
This event has grown more successful each year since its debut in 1999. It is held on the 1st Sunday in May. This is a New Balance Grand Prix, USATF-NJ sanctioned event and certified race with an estimated 300+ runners. Partial proceeds from this event are donated to local charities. Past recipients have included:

  • The NHS Business Education Department
  • Vincent United Methodist Church
  • Holy Family Day Care
  • St. Mary's Church
  • First Baptist Church
  • The Nutley Friends of Abused and Special Children
  • The Nutley Family Service Bureau
  • The Nutley Chapter of the American Red Cross
  • Special Young Adults
  • The Nutley Emergency Volunteer Rescue Squad
  • The Enrico Tamburri Memorial Foundation
  • Rotary, Unico & Lions Organizations

Santa's Visit
The Nutley Chamber of Commerce sponsors Santa's Arrival in Nutley. It is held on the Friday directly after Thanksgiving. He has rode in on a horse drawn carriage, riden on the back of a fire engine, flown in by helicoptor and even sitting on the back of a bright red, antique convertable. Last year, over 1,000 townspeople and their children crowded the Oval to greet him. This event has become a tradition to be shared by successive generations of Nutleyites.
